Compact Folding Design
Perfect when your tight on space or looking for something that you can chuck in the car. The folding design makes this bike the perfect travel companion.
Folding is enabled via 2 easy-to-use clip-and-hinge mechanisms. One clip-and-hinge controls the fold in the middle of the frame. This allows the bike frame to fold in half. The other clip-and-hinge controls the fold of the handlebars. This allows the handlebars to collapse down.
To assemble, simply unfold to the riding position and clip-in the 2 hinge locks. Collapse by unclipping the locks then folding the handlebars and frame to their folded position. That’s it! Fold to store, unfold to ride, each in just a few seconds. Watch the video below to see this all in action.
Powerful High-Torque Brushless Rear Hub Motor
This motor is backed with a 1-year warranty, so you know it will last.
These motors are small, lightweight and discreet; located within the centre of the rear wheel. 350W packs a punch, which is what you need when using smaller wheels of the compact design.
Simply pedalling the bike will activate the motor, bolting you forwards. You can control its speed with the half-grip throttle too.
Front Fork Suspension
Samsung 36v Battery
The Samsung 10.4ah/36w battery will give you a 40-50km range. It takes 4-5 hour to fully charge the battery from after its been fully discharged, though you can top it up at any time. Simply unclip the battery from the bike and plug it into the wall with the adapter provided. Clip your battery back into the bike when you’re ready to ride.
The Samsung cell battery guarantees longevity, backed by a 1-year warranty
Lockable (with a key) to help keep your battery secure.
Light Alloy Frame
Remaining compact with all essential features to keep you riding in comfort is the core of this design.
Just like our larger bikes, a mudgaurd sits above each wheel to help prevent flickup of stones and debris when riding offroad and keeping you drier when riding in the wet.
Front & Rear TEKTRO Mechanical Disc Brakes
With the power of a 350W motor, you want to know that you’re still going to be able to stop suddenly if required. The Doblez can do just that. TEKTRO mechanical disc brakes come fitted to the front and rear wheels.
7-Speed SHIMANO Gear Set
SHIMANO (the leading name in e-bike gear sets) 7-speed gear set is controlled at the handles. Moving up and down the gears is a breeze.
Integrated Front & Rear Lights
We believe lights are essential to any bike. That’s why we’ve still included them in this great compact design.
Front and rear lights that are adjustable come fully-integrated into the Doblez. Come nightfall you’re ready to ride safe, just turn them on and go.
Reflectors underneath the seat and in the wheel spokes provide additional visibility when lights are shining on you. No need to spend more on extras like after-market lighting and reflectors (though we’re not against you taking extra safety precautions!).

Doblez also suits smaller riders, with the seat being able to drop right down to a low of 80cm seating position height.

Neither myself (58) or my wife (54) have ever been cyclists. Due to some physical limitations on my part (knees and feet) walking more than a few kilometres is not possible without paying for it in pain.
We started to look at e-bikes so that when we travelled around we could go further than just my walking distance which had become quite limiting. Those things that are a bit far to walk but not the same when driving or you can’t take a car. We finally settled on the El Doblez because it was foldable, had a throttle so you don’t have to pedal at all and we could fit two in our Hyundai Tucson.
After 4 months of ownership, I couldn’t be happier with our purchase. They have exceeded my expectations.
We got the 16Ah battery but I was still concerned about range. I didn’t need to be. We have done a number of approximately 20km rides on relatively flat ground, pedalling a bit of assistance and used 1 bar of battery out of 6. I recently took it to Bathurst we’re my father lives to see if it could do the race circuit around Mt Panorama. 15km round trip, 1 bar used. I did have to help a little on the very steepest sections.
Around town, it is handy to have the throttle to make hill starts and accelerate quickly across intersections before the pedal assist kicks in. What’s more, I’ve found I am pedalling much more than I expected so I’m getting healthier.
It’s easy to fold and put back up. It is a little heavy, 24kg including 3.4kg for the battery which slides out easily for charging or to make it lighter.
Full charge time is about 6 hours. The charger gets quite hot 54°C by my themo reader.
I wouldn’t rely on the headlight much for night riding.
Fat tyres are great for running on and off pathways etc without getting caught.
The screen is easy to see, has all the information you need and easy to use controls.
It is what I call a little twitchy to ride compared to a full-size bike which I put down to the short wheelbase and steering angle. You get used to it though.
I contacted Vamos for some advice on rear carriers. They were quick to respond with information even though we bought ours at our local shop in Redcliffe Queensland. I’ve added one for me. It attaches to threaded tabs on the bike and the seat post with a quick release which pushes the seat a little high for my wife. I’m looking at some others for her.
Put simply, we love them, we have a new hobby to do together. We plan to take them away with us anywhere we drive to, we can explore much further with them. We’re also planning days to travel along the many “Rail Trails” and cycleways available. I duck down the shop for small items rather than starting the car. If possible we will own an e-bike for as long as we’re able to ride them.
We purchased 2 bikes and have clocked up over 100km around the city in just over a month. Easy to ride and great power for the steep inclines. We purchased them for a campervan because of the foldable design and all terrain capabilities but the fun around the city is amazing. Throughly recommended and very to ride. Some many people stop us to ask where we purchased them because they are so impressed.
My wife and I just bought two of the folding Vamos e-bikes to take away with us in our camper van and we love how easy they are to set up and store away and they go for ages on a charge. Very easy to ride and we ride a lot more around home on them too as we are near a great cycle track. Thanks guys!
The blokes that work there are great blokes and are helpful. A great bike. I ride my bike every day. I’ve done over 1,000 kms in 6 months. It folds down for the car perfectly.
The El Doblez is a small bike. But even for its small design, the bike has amazing power for a 350 Watt motor and just 12-inch wheels. It packs a punch with 5 ranges in power. 1 is just enough to use your peddles. 2 it will make it more easier with little effort. 4 I wouldn’t bother peddling. 5 like 4 as 25-30KmH can be achieved without peddling, just be sure that the tires are well pumped up!!
You could take this with you on a Bus. As an MTB rider, it did take of something to get used to but you will love this bike. It comes complete with everything you see in this website. The T shirts are also cool too.
This is a powerful bike with it’s 12″ wheels and Very Powerful Brakes!! just be careful with those brakes as they are strong!! So it’s worth the money.

I needed a folding electric bike that could also ride on dirt roads where I live. I wanted something that had a big battery capacity and good torque for hills. What an amazing locally owned Australian company. From the moment I spoke to Conrad and his staff I was astounded by the dedication of him and his team team. After explaining to Conrad my needs and wants he pointed me to a bike that I have now owned for over 14 months. I go everywhere on my bike and I’m so pleased I made the decision to buy one. No matter what the question was, I could call their friendly dedicated team and they were ready to assist me in any possible way. In fact I had an issue where I had knocked a wire off the battery. I rang Vamos and within a couple of hours I had Conrad ringing me back to arrange a time to come and try and fix the problem. These bikes are great, my wife and I got one each and we just fold them up and put them in our sprinter campervan and when we set up we can get into town or cruise around the sights without having to pack up the van. We love them.
