Adjusting the angle of the handlebar allows you to ride for longer, feel more perfectly balanced, gives you greater control in steering, and ultimately allows you to cover greater distance without tiring quickly. Ensure you have all controls, including the brake levers, easily at hand when needed.
Using the settings available bring the handlebars towards you or have them set further away, raise them up or down and also orientate the tilt of the steering to your preference to ensure you get the comfiest ride possible. My wife Annie went through a comprehensive process in choosing an electric bike. Ultimately Vamos ticked all the boxes. Even then the bike exceeded expectations. We were a bit concerned with not being able to check it out in person. But I thought at worst we could send it back with the free returns. Needless to say, we didn’t return it because it’s great. Solidly built, super comfortable and an extremely durable battery. A great purchase.

I loved it so much I decided it was my Mother’s Day gift to Me.
Comfortable and user-friendly, low maintenance, and requires no experience to operate or assemble, 100% Australian road legal, and you don’t need a licence or registration. With petrol prices being so high, the Vamos e-bike was the best option to get me around when solo, and has also been an amazing way to release anxiety.
In my research during the first Covid lockdown, I kept on coming back to the Rapido as the best quality-for-price “town” eBike even though it wasn’t then in stock. Although I have a much loved Giant 880 front suspension mountain bike, which I rode across Spain following the Camino de Santiago, my view was a different form of bike was needed in response to the pandemic (i.e., avoiding public transport; being able to cycle in good clothes; rack for bag/shopping …).
I’m so glad I joined the list and waited for the new model with front suspension to arrive in the country.
The Rapido ticks all the boxes for being the perfect “town” bike, and Conrad and Michael’s approach to customer service is just great.
It has been almost a year since taking delivery and zipping about on my red Rapido continues to bring much joy.
Had my Vamos bike now for over 12 months. Daily use to and from work and the surf. Could not fault the bikes. We have a baby seat attached, our little fella loves it too. Conrad and the team offer great help for any questions or help.
I recently purchased a Vamos Rapido. This is one of the best things that I have ever done and would recommend it to any one who is thinking about it and maybe a bit doubtful. Have no fears you will never regret it. Excellent before and after sales service and easy to assemble, only a couple of allen keys needed. I am 93 years of age and need the power assisted exercise so that I can go at my own pace. Steepest of hills no problem. The longest ride so far is 7ks out 7ks back, plenty of battery left. Have only had it since just before Christmas so still learning, but no problems there. So my message to everyone is “Get on your Bike” Cheers.
Recently bought the 2021 rapido and I love it! I use it daily to get to the office, very nice and light to ride! Definitely recommend it!

Of all the e bikes I’ve had, this is the best and it has a wonderful technical service where they care about customer satisfaction, honestly they exceeded my expectations.
I always thought electric bikes are for old people (sorry mum and dad) but I since I started riding a bicycle in Bondi I realized I was wrong. No matter how hard I tried, my old bicycle couldn’t get me up Bondi’s hills. But (even to my own surprise) my new bike baby easily gets me up the steepest hills!
Not only is riding an electric bike so much fun (it seriously almost feels like I’m on a scooter), it’s also a very eco friendly way of transport. A full battery only costs $0.15 (AUD) and lasts about 40km.
I genuinely really absolutely truly LOVE this bicycle and I can’t believe how much easier it makes things. Maybe it’s the Dutch blood flowing through my veins, or maybe it’s just that this is a really awesome e-bike. Either way, if you live in Australia and you’ve been thinking about getting an electric bicycle I would really like to suggest hitting up the boys of Vamos Bikes for a test ride. You’ll be surprised!
I took my 2020 El Rapido with original battery along 50 to 60km rail trails in Victoria. I was worried about the battery life but it did it easily, usually only dropping to 3 bars. The twist throttle is great for take offs.
Between my husband and I we have one car and have found an electric bike to be a great option to get around rather than getting a second car for occasional use.
Plus it’s so convenient and helpful for those local trips around town to get some groceries or visit the leisure centers.
Great Bike. I use it as transport to and from work and getting around the city. Saves time and money. With all the bike lanes available it is a no-brainer to get one. The electric component gets you up the hills with no problems. Thoroughly recommend the Vamos Bike. Do not regret this purchase at all. Now my husband wants to get one as well.

I just love this electric bike (El Rapido) and the extra support it gives me to keep up with my mates when riding. The extra help from the motor when going up hills is just wonderful. In general, I feel a little bit safer knowing I have that extra acceleration to rely on if needed to get me out of trouble

Purchased the Rapido 2021 a few weeks ago and am very impressed with the quality of the bike, as well as the ease and comfort of the ride. Perfect for navigating the hills of Paddington on the way to work, the Rapido is the perfect daily commuter. A full battery easily gets me 2 return trips to the city (from Woollahra) without charging. Highly recommend this bike for anyone looking to get around the inner city with ease.
I ordered a Vamos Rapido 2021. It was delivered within a week and to say I was impressed with the bike is an understatement. Best packaging I have ever seen and an absolutely fantastic bike. Really enjoying riding it. It is easy to step through to get on and off and I really love the throttle for when I feel too lazy to pedal. Although it does tend to use the battery up a lot faster if you don’t pedal.

Great bike. Living at the top of a hill is no longer an excuse not to ride a bike. Although I do not always use the battery, it’s nice to know it’s there. I still like to ride the bike in the traditional fashion and it would be nice to have more than 7 speeds. This bike shifts beautifully, steers well and rides smooth. So glad I have this bike.
I purchased this bike over a year ago now and am still absolutely loving it. Great customer service, easy to use, perfect for hills. Would strongly recommend. I ride it to work each day which is roughly 10 km and I go past all the traffic, get to have the enjoyment of riding a bike without getting red faced and sweaty before work!
